Cage Fight – Exuvia marks a new chapter for the band. With the arrival of bassist Will Horsman, the band has deepened its songwriting and enriched its hardcore sound with more melodies, atmospheres, and experimentation, while retaining its brutal energy.
The album is also deeply personal: Rachel Aspe wrote the lyrics for eight tracks, inspired by trauma, anxiety, grief, violence, and her grandmother’s illness. Exuvia, which refers to the skin shed during molting, thus symbolizes the transformation and healing of both the band and Rachel.
