Hailing from Finland, ATLAS is a distinctly Nordic phenomenon in modern metal. Since its formation in 2015, both the band’s sound and its striking visual aesthetic have evolved into a fusion of crushing heaviness and haunting vulnerability.

 

After years of hard work, the band has settled on its definitive lineup, composed of members who have dedicated their lives and energy to music. Over the course of a decade, ATLAS’s sound has developed and refined itself into what it is today: a unique blend of genres and sonic influences.

 

The band has toured across Europe alongside acts such as Orbit Culture, Caligula’s Horse, Monuments, VOLA, Adept, Electric Callboy, Kadinja, and We Butter The Bread With Butter. ATLAS has also shared the stage with dozens of bands at numerous European festivals.

 

With their new album Sunder (February 2026, Odyssey Music Network), ATLAS makes a powerful comeback: a carefully crafted follow-up to their 2018 top-10 album Primitive and the highly acclaimed Ukko (2021), both released on SPV Records. Backed by the London/Helsinki-based management company Backbone Management, ATLAS continues to push the boundaries of extreme music.
