THY CATAFALQUE will once again headline a European tour in spring 2026. They will be accompanied by BONG-RA and TOWARD THE THRONE.
Tamás Kátai has a vision that transcends borders and boundaries. From the very beginning, THY CATAFALQUE had already transcended the rather rigid codes of black metal. Initially intended solely for the studio, his musical project has transformed over the last 20 years, bringing the project to life in a live setting. With each album, THY CATAFALQUE pushes the boundaries of extreme metal a little further, creating a dialogue between the world’s most vile art form and the avant-garde.
With his twelfth album, XII: A gyönyörű álmok ezután jönnek, released in 2024 via Season of Mist, Kátai takes an even more ambitious approach, referencing both his past and the history of his native Hungary. “For this album, I felt it was time to take a new direction, whatever that might be, but XII still has that dreamlike atmosphere that I’ve always associated with Thy Catafalque.”
